DINING: New menus, menu items

Various Las Vegas-area restaurants have rolled out new menus or menu items for fall. They include:
Gallagher's Steakhouse at New York- New York, 3790 Las Vegas Blvd. South, has a fall menu that includes veal paillard grilled over mesquite charcoal, a whole globe artichoke in a teriyaki marinade and roasted seasonal vegetables with cheeses from the Kilchurn Estate, a small farm in England. Gallagher's serves dinner beginning at 4 p.m. daily.
RA Sushi Bar Restaurant at the Fashion Show mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South, has added new items to its cocktail and regular menus, including spicy octopus salad, shrimp sumai, a beef tataki roll and a mango lobster roll. New martinis include the Bruce Chee-Lee, Mount Saint Melons and Chai One On, plus signature spirits including the Moshi Moshi Mojito and Okinawa Iced Tea. The restaurant also features happy hour specials from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Charlie's Lakeside Casino (formerly known as Becker's Lakeside), 8603 W. Sahara Ave., has brought back 24-hour breakfasts and added food and drink specials during all live college and NFL football games on Saturdays and Sundays. They include jalapeno poppers for $6.99 and barbecued beef sandwiches for $3.99.
The Mermaid Restaurant & Lounge at the Silverton, 3333 Blue Diamond Road, has introduced an assortment of new entrees and finger foods, including Parmesan fries, teriyaki bowls, fried calamari and fish tacos.
Twin Creeks at the Silverton is offering $5 glasses of premium wine, which change each month. October's special is Niebaum-Coppola, and November's will be Fetzer.
And Bleu Gourmet bistro, wine shop and catering service, 8751 W. Charleston Blvd., has extended its hours on the first Saturday of each month with wine and beer specials, a late-night small-plates menu and lounge music until 2 a.m.
