PICK OF THE WEEK:
HUNGRY HOWIE'S
6365 Simmons St. at WEST Centennial Parkway, 433-1313
There's pizza, and then there's pizza where the crust is flavored. It's a little out of the ordinary, and most traditionalists will turn away from it. But try it, you'll like it. Crust flavors include Cajun, garlic herb, sesame, butter cheese, onion, ranch, butter and original. All you have to do is match your crust with your favorite toppings, or select a specialty pie such as veggie, chicken bacon ranch, Deluxe Hawaiian (ham, pineapple, bacon), three cheese pepperoni, Philly cheese, bacon cheddar cheeseburger or The Works with pepperoni, ham, Italian sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, onion, beef and black olives. Featured subs are ham and cheese, meatball, Pizza Sub Deluxe (cheese, sauce, choice of three toppings), turkey club, Italian and Deluxe Combo with pepperoni, sausage, ham and cheese. Howie's wings are prepared mild, hot, barbecue, garlic or hot barbecue. Several salads are Greek, garden, chef and antipasto with choice of dressing: ranch, blue cheese, Greek or creamy Italian. Discover Howie bread, including cinnamon with butter and cinnamon topped with icing, three cheese (Parmesan, cheddar, mozzarella), Cajun and the original with garlic butter and Parmesan. Ask about specials. Pizzas begin at $4.99 and subs at $6.99. Hungry Howie's is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. - Jack Bulavsky
