Dining Pick of the Week: Little Hong Kong

There are so many flavors in Chinese cuisine, and Little Hong Kong brings many of them together in a fine menu that lists all the favorites and more. Among the chef's recommendations are spinach chicken, Shrimp Lover's Delight, crispy orange chicken or beef, lettuce wraps with tangy garlic sauce, walnut shrimp, beef and scallops in house ginger and garlic sauce, and Hong Kong chow mein. Other entrees are roast duck, cashew chicken, Szechwan scallops, moo goo gai pan, salt and pepper pork chops, curry beef or shrimp, stir-fried tofu with mixed vegetables, sweet and sour pork, Mandarin hot braised chicken and sautéed snow peas with mushrooms. There is egg foo yong, Singapore-style vermicelli, soups (egg noodle, wonton) and appetizers such as barbecue pork ribs, pot stickers and fried shrimp. There are family dinners and dinners just for one such as chicken chow mein, Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, sweet and sour chicken and shrimp Cantonese. Daily lunch specials are $6.50 and are served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They include an egg roll, salad bar, egg drop soup and vegetable fried rice. Chef's recommendations start at $9.95.
