PICK OF THE WEEK:
SEAFOOD STATION
7785 N. Durango Drive at El Capitan Way, 776-6141
Finding a neighborhood restaurant serving great seafood at neighborhood prices has taken hold in Centennial Hills. "The traditional measure of a good restaurant is the number of repeat customers, and we're seeing many repeat customers," said co-owner James Lastra. Currently only take-out is available, as Lastra is waiting for the full sit-down restaurant to take shape. In the meantime, enjoy po-boy sandwiches with fried shrimp, codfish, catfish, clam strips, oysters and homemade meatloaf with bacon. Entrees are served with fries and coleslaw and include fried shrimp, calamari, scallops, beer-battered codfish, catfish, oysters, clams, clam strips, soft-shell crab, crab cakes, meat loaf with bacon and chicken tenders. At your request, entrees can be sautéed with lemon and garlic or blackened seasoning. Featured sides are homemade New England clam chowder, green beans and house salad with chicken or shrimp. Children under 10 can enjoy chicken tenders or clam strips with fries, green beans and a drink for $5.95. Lunch combos include fries, coleslaw and a drink and are served from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Entrees start at $8.95 and sandwiches at $5.95. Seafood Station is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. - Jack Bulavsky
