Dining Pick of the Week: Viola’s Tavern

PICK OF THE WEEK:

VIOLA’S TAVERN

4061 N. Rancho Drive, 702-331-1414

Viola’s is a sports tavern that serves gourmet brick-oven pizzas and certified Angus beef hamburgers to go with 10 televisions broadcasting your favorite sporting events. The hamburgers come with lettuce, tomato, onion and fries or coleslaw. They include Vinny’s Classic Cheeseburger, Nick’s Cowboy (onion straws, barbecue sauce, bacon, cheddar, Swiss) and the famous Stuffed Burger, where three items of your choice are stuffed into the meat and cooked to order in cast iron to sear in flavor. Among the stuffing items are bacon, mushrooms, pepperoni, roasted garlic, jalapenos and pico de gallo. Two salads are house and Caesar, and two popular wraps are Crispy BLT (bacon, crispy chicken, tomato, avocado) and Laguna Beach with grilled chicken, bacon, avocado and Swiss. Those gourmet pizzas can be made with all the traditional toppings, or order one of the Signature Pies such as margherita, Meat Lovers (sausage, ham, bacon, pepperoni, meatballs) and Carolina Barbecue with shredded chicken, caramelized onions, cilantro, basil and barbecue sauce. Lunch specials are served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Breakfast is served daily from 8 to 11 a.m. Hamburgers and pizzas start at $10. Viola’s Tavern is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. — Jack Bulavsky
