Duhamel retakes lead, Mizrachi close behind

As of 9 p.m., seven players remained in contention at the Main Event final table, led by Jonathan Duhamel of Quebec, Canada, with 53.1 million chips.

Michael “the Grinder” Mizrachi of North Miami Beach, Fla., was second with 51.675 million in chips. Filippo Candio of Italy was third with 29.375 million.

The final two players will return to the Rio on Monday night to play for the world poker championship and the top prize of more than $8.9 million.
