Dunhill to celebrate TV car stars at event

For the first time this year, Dunhill Homes is hosting a grand sales event at its Tuscany Village master-planned community in Henderson.

From 11 a.m.-4 p.m. today, the homebuilder will provide free food and refreshments from the popular Tasty Bunz gourmet food truck, along with a classic car show, tours of the model homes and a chance to win a $500 Apple gift card.

The car show will include famous television cars from Car Stars of Las Vegas car show. KITT of "Knight Rider," The General Lee of "The Dukes of Hazzard" and the iconic Grand Torino from "Starsky and Hutch" will be on display. The cars were actually driven by the TV show stars. Proceeds from the car show benefit The Children's Miracle Network of Nevada.

The show also includes an unusual display of Model A Ford cars, which are nearly 100 years old.

The grand sales event showcases Dunhill Homes' 13 new floor plans and seven decorated model homes.

Special incentives on all homes at Tuscany Village will be available for a limited time.

"These are limited-time incentives and worth thousands depending on the home you choose, so if you have been looking for a new home in Henderson, now is the time to make a decision for Tuscany Village," said Ryan Soucie, director of sales. "It will be a beautiful day to bring your family out and experience luxury for less in person here at Tuscany Village."

"Luxury for less is our motto at Tuscany Village, and today you will discover all the reasons our residents love where they live," said sales associate Marina Petric. "The community is in an ideal location near Lake Las Vegas and Lake Mead while remaining close to world-class shopping and dining on the Las Vegas Strip."

The one- and two-story homes range from 1,215 to 2,683 square feet with prices starting at just $129,990.

The community offers seven single-story models.

"Our residents enjoy more amenities than any other community in Henderson, with monthly association fees that are often less than country club communities," Petric said.

Among the amenities is a 35,000-square-foot recreation center, La Vita Tuscana, which is a multimillion dollar center with dozens of fitness and social opportunities.

A full-size gym, equipped fitness center, aerobics room and basketball and racquetball courts are just a few of the options for fitness enthusiasts.

For those who enjoy the social life, the club has a lounge with oversized chairs and a fireplace, game rooms that feature billiards and ping pong, arts and crafts classes and meeting rooms.

Take a step outside to find a 25-meter lap pool, a resort-style pool, oversized spas, covered cabanas, lighted tennis courts, basketball courts, walking trails and a children's playground.

Another centerpiece of Tuscany Village is a championship golf course designed by famed golf course architect Ted Robinson. This award-winning course has twice been named Golf Magazine's No. 1 golf course in Las Vegas in its annual BBQ (Bang for the Buck) quotient. The course is open to residents and the public, offering sweeping views of the desert landscape and Las Vegas skyline.

"Residents get all these amenities in addition to a 24-hour guard-gated entrance, no LID (improvement district) fees and 50 free channels of cable television," Petric said. "By having no LID fees for every home, residents save thousands over the life span of the home."

All floor plans at Tuscany Village are certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star program. Tankless water heaters, radiant-barrier roofs, dual-pane low-emissivity argon gas vinyl windows and other energy-efficient elements are included as standard features in the homes.

To visit, take Lake Mead Drive in Henderson heading east. Follow the signs to the community and turn left on Mohawk Drive to the main entrance. Tuscany's sales office is at 1549 Olivia Parkway and is open daily from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. For more information, call 873-7287 or visit www.dunhillhomes.com.
