Dust devil, burning tumbleweeds result in terrifying firenado

Burning tumbleweeds were swept into a whirlwind in Colorado on March 14, resulting in a firenado that looks like something out of a disaster movie.

It happened during a controlled burn at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge near Denver, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The wind pulled the burning tumbleweeds 200 feet up into the air and across the control line, starting a spot fire that was quickly extinguished.
