Ed Bozarth Chevrolet to hold Kidsafe event today
Ed Bozarth Chevrolet at 5501 Drexel Road, will host a Operation Kidsafe event 1-8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The free event will feature a custom digital fingerprinting unit, which provides parents with a digital record, called a bio-document.
Mark Bott, the group’s founder said the information will not be entered into any database; the parents will take home the only record.
Parents also can get child safety tips from the national organization and local law enforcement and emergency personnel.
This is the first time Operation Kidsafe has held an event in Las Vegas.
Bott, who has worked with child safety advocate John Walsh to implement national programs, said car dealerships are a good community partners for his 13-year-old company.
“They give back to the community. They are very benevolent,” Bott said. “And, there is lots of parking and big show rooms. It’s a great fit.”
