Engle rolls out new program

Engle Homes' has launched its new Seal of Protection program, which provides extended warranty coverage on home and job loss, deposit and rate protection.

"Most homebuyers already know there has never been a better time to buy a new home in Las Vegas," said Diana Undergust, sales manager for Engle Homes. "I have worked in the local real estate market for nearly 20 years and can attest to the fact that we are seeing historically low pricing without much change in the quality of new home construction."

The program includes involuntary job-loss coverage as much as $2,000 for as many as four consecutive months. It also covers the home's principal, interest, tax and insurance payments. It is available to those who use the builder's preferred lender when buying an Engle Homes residence.

"There is also no vesting period, so you don't have to own the home for a certain amount of time before you become eligible," Undergust said.

"And our rate protection locks buyers into a below-market interest rate on inventory, or already-built, homes that close on or before a specific date," she said. "This will save our homebuyers thousands of dollars over the life of the loan and ultimately reduce the cost of homeownership."

Also included in the Seal of Protection is third-party warranty protection.

"This covers the home no matter what becomes of the builder," she said. "I am not aware of any other new homebuilder in the city offering this level of warranty protection."

Engle protects buyers' deposits with a special escrow account established with a third party for earnest deposits.
