Everyone’s freaking out about this ‘UFO’ outstripping a Virgin Atlantic flight — VIDEO

A man is claiming to have captured on video an unidentified object overtaking a Virgin Atlantic flight as it took off from John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The video, captured July 7, follows the Virgin plane, as well as a small black object that appears to fly above the plane and overtake it. The short clip had been watched millions of times online as of Tuesday morning.

Some have suggested the object is another plane in the background, while some have stood firm on the object as proof that there's other life in the universe.

'It seems to get narrower and wider as it's moving, it's hard to say," self-proclaimed UFO expert Russ Kellett told the MailOnline. "I always send footage to an expert to image enhancement as it looks good but unfortunately it could be anything."

Scott Waring of UFOSightingsDaily told the Huffington Post UK he believes the object is an "alien drone" observing air traffic to "satisfy their curiosity."

As of Tuesday morning, the airport had not released a statement about the video.
