Findlay rep sells more than 12,000 vehicles

Amos Maly has been in the car business for so long that many of the vehicles he has sold are now classics.

Now a sales consultant with Findlay Toyota in the Valley Auto Mall, the 56-year-old Maly has been selling cars in Southern Nevada for 26 years. In fact, Maly has sold an estimated 12,500 vehicles while working long hours and loving every minute of it.

Maly's client base stretches into several others states including Arizona, Utah, California and Idaho.

"This business takes commitment and servicing the customer with integrity," said Maly, who moved to the United States from Israel in 1982. "A sales consultant needs to work in a humble manner to maintain a future customer base. I am available to customers 24 hours a day since that is what this business requires in order to be successful."

Maly said he has received repeat business over the years from many families.

"Many times, I will sell vehicles to the grandchildren of some of my original buyers," he said. "My customers have followed me over the years and to me, that's the greatest compliment. It is important to me to keep my customers happy."

Maly said he chose to work for Findlay Automotive Group for its customer service.

"The reason I wanted to be with Findlay Toyota is that the company is family-owned and is also very customer-service oriented," he said. "It is a very humanizing experience here. There is a high level of honesty, care for the customer and service for any part of the community. The building is beautiful, but it's what is inside that makes this a great experience."

Jacob Henn, Findlay Toyota sales manager, lauded Maly, who has been heavily involved with local charities.

"Amos understands what the people need and want," said Henn, who has been in the car business for 20 years. "He is very good at interviewing his customers to make certain they are properly taken care of throughout the transaction. His experience is invaluable. We are proud to have him here."

The Toyota brand is another big reason for Maly's affiliation with the company.

"The product is ideal because of its reliability, its affordability, appearance and worldwide reputation," he said. "The customer's perception and satisfaction brings confidence to the product, as well."

Findlay Toyota is headed by General Manager Rich Abajian.

"Amos is as fine a sales consultant as I have been around in my 26 years with Findlay Automotive," said Abajian. "What is so amazing about Amos is that after all the success he has had, he still remains focused and continues to excel every day. He is his own biggest critic when he feels that he needs to improve."

The dealership is situated at 7733 Eastgate Road, just east of U.S. Highway 95 and north of Auto Show Drive.
