Findlay Toyota new used-car manager has 30-plus years experience

When Findlay Toyota was in need of a used-car manager, Rich Abajian, the dealership's general manager, knew just who to call: Don Richardson.

Richardson has more than 30 years of experience in the car business -- 20 of which he has spent working for the Findlay Automotive Group. Richardson recently accepted the position of used-car manager at Findlay Toyota in the Valley Automall.

"When the position became open I knew the best choice and only choice was Don Richardson," Abajian said. "With Don's experience and ability to work with people, Don was a no-brainer."

For Richardson, working at Findlay Toyota is like a class reunion, allowing him to become reacquainted with several co-workers he has met while working for Findlay during the last two decades.

Richardson came to work for the Findlay Automotive Group in September 1990 and was instrumental in helping Abajian open Saturn of West Sahara a month later. Richardson served as the used-car manager at Saturn for 19 years and continued in that position when the dealership became Findlay Kia.

Richardson credits his success to his wonderful wife of 45 years, Cecelia; his lovely daughters Tara and Cindy; son-in-law, David; and his mother-in-law, Mary.

"I also owe a lot of gratitude to Rich Abajian," Richardson said.
