Friendly Ford finance coordinator Conner puts focus on service

Almost nine years ago, native Las Vegan Ashley Conner went to work for Friendly Ford in the delivery department. A friend had told her about the job.

Conner is now the dealership’s finance coordinator and still enjoys the automobile business.

She says she can’t imagine working anywhere else.

“We have really amazing people who work here and we’re like a little Friendly Ford family,” she says.

“We all wear a lot of hats and one of them is for customer service. No matter what the role, every one of us here understands the importance of making sure the customer is treated with the utmost of respect.”

The finance department position originated about seven years ago. She says the job has been challenging, rewarding and interesting all at once. Conner is one the last people the customer sees during a vehicle’s purchase, so her presentation and knowledge of the car business are also vitally important.

“Finance can be very complex,” she says. “Everyone has a different need and there is so much paperwork involved. When buyers come into my office, it’s my job to make sure the contract is funded and that the contract is purchased by the finance company.

“Anything any asks of me, I’ll try to do,” she says. “Whether it’s my job or not, I’ll go beyond expectations to get the job done.”

Besides completing her finance coordinator duties, Conner helps customers with other needs.

“Whatever it takes, we want to accommodate the needs of our customers,” she says.

“Whether it’s an explanation about a particular program in their vehicle or simply a service question, it’s vital to make sure that we complete the task at hand.”

Conner drives a Ford Fusion and wouldn’t drive anything other than a Ford.

“I’d still drive a Ford even if I didn’t work here,” she said. “I love the product.”
