Go north, young couple

Its Providence location, recreational amenities, proximity to Nellis and Creech Air Force bases and selection of single-family homes are among the top reasons that more than 50 new homeowners have chosen to call Warmington's Northern Terrace home since this community made its debut last year in northwestern Las Vegas, according to sales manager John Upchurch.

This recreation-based community has introduced 12 new model homes within three neighborhoods: Claremont, Westcott and Emery.

Northern Terrace offers 12 single-level and two-story floor plans; automatic membership to The Club, a multimillion recreational facility; and prices that range from the low $100,000s to low $200,000s.

First-time buyers, Jay and Amanda Page, who are new residents of Westcott at Northern Terrace, said their Ashaway Plan Three was "perfect for us. We loved the idea of having plenty of space to grow as a family."

Jay Page is a pilot in the Air Force and is stationed at Creech Air Force Base and his wife, Amanda, is a pharmacist at Nellis Air Force Base.

They said they chose their home because they liked the Providence master-planned community.

"It's very well maintained and the people seem friendly. We really appreciate having a say in the way our neighborhood is run and maintained. The sidewalks and parks are great for walking our dog and enjoying the outdoors," Jay Page said.

"It is a beautiful neighborhood, the houses are very nice, and The Club's amenities are excellent," Jay Page said.

"The pools are amazing and having a gym right by the house is a great feature. We looked all over the northern Vegas area for a house with a pool and we finally decided having a pool at The Club right down the street was by far the best option."

As Northern Terrace celebrates its one-year anniversary and the addition of its new residents, the community will host the Perfect Timing sales event this weekend from 1-3 p.m. in all three sales offices. The event will include light refreshments.

Through Sunday, Warmington will offer special financing, financial incentives as much as $17,000 that can be used toward buy-downs, design center upgrades, and closings costs, according to company officials.

The home builder also is offering a 4 percent commission to real estate agents who help clients purchase homes.

"We are thrilled that we have been able to welcome more than 50 new residents into Northern Terrace over the past year," Upchurch said. "While real estate continues to be a big topic and many are still sitting on the fence, the truth is that if you are ready, willing and able to buy a home, now is a great time to be in the market. Values are high, interest rates are low and the opportunities to get a lot for your money may be unprecedented."

Claremont, Westcott and Emery offer four distinctive home styles that range from 1,388 to 3,043 square feet.

Westcott and Emery offer one or more single-level floor plans, while Claremont offers two-story designs.

The homes at Claremont feature as many as four bedrooms, 2½ baths and attached two-car garages, with prices starting in the $140,000s.

Westcott homes offer as many as four bedrooms in their standard configuration, 2½ baths and two-car garages with prices starting in the $150,000s. The Plan Two at Westcott has a gated courtyard entry.

Emery offers a gated neighborhood setting with homes that may accommodate as many as six bedrooms with 2½ baths and two- and three-car garages for prices that begin in the low $200,000s. Stainless steel appliances and designer-selected granite slab countertops are included features at Emery.

All residents at Warmington's Northern Terrace get automatic membership to The Club at Northern Terrace. The fully staffed recreational facility has three pools, spa, on-site fitness center and entertainment and play areas, as well a year-round calendar of community social events and classes.

The three neighborhoods have homes that will be move-in ready in 45 days or less, Upchurch said.

Most of the homes include designer-preferred selections, room options, two-tone interior paint, and complementary cabinetry and countertops combinations.

New-home buyers also have the advantage of meeting with an on-site designer from Chateau Interiors & Design to make standard and optional interior design selections for their new home, including their flooring.

Home shoppers may tour the 12 models, which are open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, except on Wednesday, when they open at noon.

They can also make an appointment to consulate with on on-site representative from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, who can determine eligibility for down payment assistance, discuss available financing options and calculate estimated monthly payments.

To visit Northern Terrace, exit the Las Vegas Beltway at Hualapai Way and go north for about 1.2 miles. Go left on Farm Road for one half mile, past Egan Crest Way and turn right on Crescent Mountain Street. To access Claremont and Westcott sales offices turn left on Silver Peak Run Drive and left on Mount Victoria Lane and they will be on the right. To access Emery turn right on Mount Sheridan and the sales office will be on the right.
