Henderson Hyundai marked its 10th year in business Nov. 15 and is holding a celebration.
"This is quite a milestone for us," Henderson Hyundai owner Frank Maione said. "We've been looking back at how far we've come over the years and it really is a reason to celebrate. So we are running a $10,000 sweepstakes to commemorate our 10 years in business."
General Manager Kip Fruth added, "The winner will get $10,000 to put toward a new Hyundai. And there will be other prizes awarded in the spirit of our celebration, too. But everybody should come in as we are selling cars at discounted prices and giving prizes to everyone just for taking a test drive."
Henderson Hyundai has seen a lot of changes during the past decade. The store had humble beginnings with a very small showroom and a location that was really off the beaten path on Boulder Highway in Henderson.
Henderson Hyundai opened in 2002. As sales increased, the service department was expanded in 2005. The biggest change came with the opening of a new $9 million showroom in June 2011.
"Being out here away from the
automall has allowed us to do things differently," Internet Sales Director Cole Kloninger said. "As our spokesperson, Buck Henderson, says, 'We prefer to drink upstream from the herd.' "
"We have always done things a little differently and it's paid off. We've been able to grow along with the success of Hyundai. But it takes more than that to become the No. 1 Hyundai dealership in Nevada. It takes dedication to our customers and unique offerings like our free lifetime oil change on new cars.
"But it's our customers who have really helped to build this dealership into what it is, and that is why we want to give back to all of them with Ten for Ten prizes and discounted sale prices through out our celebration," Maione said.
"It's been quite a ride. I can't wait to see what the next 10 years will bring," he said.
