Henderson Nissan weathers Japan’s storm

Nissan was hit hard by the recent tsunami that rocked Japan, but the manufacturer has adapted and is rebounding stronger than ever after the storm.

"Business is slowly coming back," said Henderson Nissan General Manager Marty McKenna. "Henderson Nissan sold around 300 vehicles last month, which is 200 percent more than the same month last year.

"We are currently offering 0 percent interest on some of Nissan's most popular models. Nissan is also offering rebates up to $4,000 on several models, making it an ideal time to buy a car."

For example, the Nissan Cube, which resembles a hip-looking box on wheels, is eye catching with its asymmetrical styling. The Juke, a four-door crossover in a hatchback, gets up to 32 mpg on the highway, according to Nissan. The Juke is the car company's smallest SUV. It comes in all-wheel drive with a new 1.6-liter turbo engine.

The Quest minivan has a spacious interior and comes in all-wheel drive. It provides 260-pounds-per-square-foot of braking horsepower with a continuously variable automatic transmission that provides less torque loss and improved fuel mileage, according to the manufacturer.
