Here’s how people describe Las Vegas with 1 word

How would you describe Nevada or Las Vegas in one word?
We asked our Facebook fans this question and got more than 400 responses. Some of the descriptions weren’t so nice, including a vulgarity that was liked more than 10 times. Thankfully, only one negative word made the top responses.
We just summed the rest up as “something mean,” of which there were a good amount.
Some others that didn’t make the cut were “open,” to describe Las Vegas’ 24-hour cycle, “paradise,” “opportunity,” “adventurous” and “scenic.”
Only a few used “fabulous,” which is the only descriptor on our sign.
Some of you used a few more words to describe the state, like Mark Ivey, who commented, “Speaking as a Las Vegas native, you can’t describe Nevada with one word.”
Even some out-of-staters chimed in, “The state of Nevada is breathtaking. When I visit I love waking up and looking at the mountains. It’s not something you see in my state, Florida,” Melissa McLaughlin wrote.
If nothing else, this’ll show you that Nevadans aren’t dying to get out anytime soon.
