Hillary’s new book needs a better title

Hillary Clinton’s new book “Hard Choices” comes out shortly. Judging from the advance copy being made public, however, the book needs a better name.

“Move Along — Nothing To See Here” might be a good start.

She devotes a chapter in her book to the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, to essentially say that she will “not be part of a political slugfest on the backs of dead Americans.”

“Those who exploit this tragedy, over and over as a political tool minimize the sacrifice of those who served our country,” she writes.

In the immortal words of The Church Lady: “Well, isn’t that special.”

Look, I understand what she’s trying to say, but if her book is in any way an honest account, then she’ll have to admit that the first persons to “minimize the sacrifice” were herself and President Obama.

They are the ones on Day 1 who spun CIA intelligence to say that this attack wasn’t a real terrorist attack, but a mob incited by a little-seen Hollywood video. And they are the ones who stuck to that story for weeks after it was crystal clear that there was a helluva lot more to it than that.

And the Obama Administration is the culprit that hid the email from Congress that showed White House and State Department spinners talking about how to spin the attack so as not to do damage to the president before the election.

We’ll see how Hillary accounts for herself when the book comes out. But early leaks tell me that she’s going to be more evasive than honest.

(Oh, and as a sidebar, it’s important to note that the Obama Administration is true to form on Benghazi as it has been on other scandals such as the VA and the IRS — no one has been held accountable. Hey, there’s another potential title for you: “Par For The Course.”)
