Homebuilders group elects the 2013 board of directors

Members of the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association have elected the trade group's board of directors for 2013.

The board will be installed at the SNHBA Installation and Awards Luncheon on Dec. 6 at the Four Seasons Hotel.

The elected board members, along with 2013 President Rocky Cochran of Pardee Homes, the senior directors and past presidents, will constitute the 2013 board of directors.

Their one-year term begins Jan. 1.

Newly elected to next year's board are Wayne Laska, a builder member, who is founder and principal of StoryBook Homes, and Claire DeJesus, an associate member, with the Las Vegas Review-Journal promotional real estate newspaper section and the monthly Las Vegas New Homes Guide magazine.

The Southern Nevada trade group has two board of directors: the homebuilders board and the associate members board.

Builder members who were re-elected to the board are: Mark Bivins, Inspiration Homes; Don Boettcher, Dunhill Homes; Clinton M. Cox, Meritage Homes; James Gomez, Richmond American Homes; David J. Jennings, D. R. Horton; Brandon Laughter, Pulte Homes; Jeremy Parness, Lennar; Brian Plaster, Signature Homes; Larry Simon, Pardee Homes; and Tom Warden, The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin.

Also, Rob McGibney, KB Home, will advance from second vice president to first vice president in 2013.

The group's associate members who were re-elected are: Barbara Baird, B2 Development Services; Scott Donnelly, Cooper Roofing Co.; Jim Fitch, Cox Las Vegas; Sherrie Hermann, Cal/Pac Painting; Ken Williams, Complete Association Management Co.; and Darren Wilson, Sierra Air Conditioning.
