Hyundai Sonata purchase becomes a family event

Tony Fisher of Planet Hyundai has been selling Hyundai automobiles for about 10 years. So when Marilyn, his wife of 19 years, needed a new vehicle, Fisher looked no further than the lot of Planet Hyundai Sahara to make sure his loved one was well taken care of.
Marilyn Fisher is no stranger to the quality of Hyundai; she has owned three of them. Making the delivery of her 2013 Sonata even better was that it also marked the couple's 19th wedding anniversary.
"I really like the legroom of the Sonata," said Marilyn Fisher, who is a secretary in the dean's office at Sawyer Middle School in southwest Las Vegas. "There is lots of space and, even better yet, the car gets excellent gas mileage. It also drives smoothly. It's just a very comfortable car; one that looks expensive and is still very affordable."
Having her husband find the car for her made the transaction that much easier.
"He knows the ins and outs of the automobile industry," said Marilyn Fisher, whose husband was twice named salesman of the year nationally by Hyundai. "A lot of my co-workers have purchased cars from Tony. They wouldn't buy from anyone other than Tony because they trust him.
"I actually looked at some other cars, too, but the others don't get near the gas mileage as the Hyundai. Tony loves selling Hyundais to married couples."
Marilyn Fisher also loves the 10-year 100,000-mile warranty provided by Hyundai, along with the roadside service that is included.
"I have a very safe car and I trust it. I love the roadside service, too. About three years ago, I ran out of gas in my Santa Fe and they came out right away to help me. I also had a flat tire one other time and they changed the tire for me right in our driveway."
The Fishers expect to take their first long trip in her Sonata soon.
"We are going to Disneyland," Marilyn Fisher said.
Tony Fisher concurs when talking about the Sonata's safety and reliability. He also said he is always concerned that his clients are happy.
"I don't care if I'm working with someone who walks in off the street, a friend or a member of our family. When I sell someone a Hyundai, I know that they will be happy with their purchase for many years to come," he said. "I simply don't have to worry about selling a Hyundai. It's a very safe car and it's economical in so many ways. But most of all, I know that whoever I sell a Hyundai to, the person driving the vehicle will be in good hands. That's a very big deal to me."
In 2006, Fisher was featured in Automotive News, a leading publication for the car business. A year later, Fisher was named the top sales consultant in the nation for Hyundai, registering 469 new-car sales and 100 preowned transactions.
Fisher also was salesman of the year in 2007.
