In new ads, GOP focuses on Reid gaffes while Reid repeats Angle is ‘extreme’

New dueling television ads are out today in the Nevada Senate race.

Republican Sharron Angle's new commercial focuses on a handful of Sen. Harry Reid's inartful comments as evidence the incumbent, "every day, is further out of touch."

On the other side, a new Reid commercial strives to characterize Angle positions on Social Security, insurance mandates, abortion and background checks for people who work with children as "not just extreme" but "dangerous."

Meanwhile, the National Republican Senatorial Committee has another critical take on Reid's self-described role in promoting economic recovery. Reid's remark that "but for me, we'd be in a worldwide depression," is set against images of civic unrest in European countries beset by economic woes.
