Internet sales keep Planet Hyundai consultant busy, content

It is nearing lunch time during the middle of the week and the car business is supposed to be slow. However, that's not the case for Planet Hyundai Internet sales consultant Arin Coleman, a 12-year veteran of the business.

From the time she enters the building, Coleman is on the phone searching for products or she's dashing around the store at 7150 W. Sahara Ave., running from one department to the other.

On her wall are several testimonials from customers who have been happy with the service they received.

"We really enjoyed working with you on the purchase of our Hyundai -- we love the car. We were so happy with your great 'people' skills," wrote Julian and Linda Rocha of Pahrump in one note.

"Thank you very much, Arin," wrote Sally Prado after purchasing a pre-owned vehicle from Coleman. "It was a pleasure doing business with you. I appreciate your professionalism and genuine attitude."

If ever there has been a possibility of a job literally being 24-7, it's a member of the car business working in an Internet department.

Without a doubt, Coleman, a graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, fits the bill of not only a sales consultant, but a personable employee at the same time.

A former employee with the original Planet Hyundai about 10 years ago, Coleman returned "home" several months ago after working for other Southern Nevada dealerships.

"I have always looked at Planet Hyundai as being a family," she said recently. "It's an even bigger family now, too. People love working here under the new ownership as of 2010, and our customers can sense that."

Hyundai's product lines have been praised for their quality and 10-year, 100,000-mile power train warranty along with a five-year, 60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.

"Hyundai has definitely stepped up over the years I had been away from the product," she said. "The product sells itself with its quality, fuel efficiency and unsurpassed warranty, so I don't have any concerns when selling a car to someone."
