Jeep Internet sales team eases purchases from out of state

Shopping and making purchases online has become a simple and ordinary task. And with the help of dedicated, trustworthy salespersons like Vinnie Robles, Internet manager at Chapman Chrysler Jeep, even a significant purchase, such as a vehicle, can be a painless and worry-free experience.

That's what customer Ardel Jorgensen of Cedar Mountain, Utah, learned when she reached out to the Internet department at the Henderson dealership for assistance in finding her ideal Jeep.

Jorgensen began her search online, visiting the official Jeep website to build her own Jeep online, which led her to communicating with Robles via e-mail. It had been 10 years since Jorgensen had purchased a new vehicle, and there was much she needed to learn about the process.

"I had myriad questions about car options and purchase procedures," Jorgensen said. "Vinnie was so patient, answering all my e-mails."

Jorgensen and Robles eventually met in person and determined all the options she wanted on the Jeep Grand Cherokee. One of the major features she wanted was the "S" Limited package which includes some extra off-roading features. Because her home in Utah is nestled in the mountains of Cedar City, she needed the best four-wheel-drive system available, which is the Quadra Drive II System. Jorgensen also liked the more comfortable contour heated seats, navigation and 19-inch chrome wheels and tires.

After Jorgensen left town again, Robles worked tirelessly to find the exact car Jorgensen wanted. During this time, Robles kept in contact with Jorgensen and advised her of his progress. He secured the Grand Cherokee with all the features Jorgensen wanted and when Jorgensen was back in town again, she returned to the dealership, signed all the papers and traded in her Jeep Wrangler in anticipation of the new car's delivery. When the car was delivered, Robles completed the transaction for Jorgensen and made sure there were no hitches to her taking possession of the car.

"If not for Vinnie's professional, honest and communicative style -- to say nothing about his great sense of humor -- I would not have been at all comfortable in purchasing an automobile long distance," Jorgensen said. "I dare say I would not have done it. But he earned my trust."

Robles was happy to assist Jorgensen in finding exactly what she wanted and the two forged a friendship over the 50-60 e-mails, Robles estimates.

"Based on our correspondence, she trusted me and we got along well," Robles said. "In fact, we even discovered we have similar nicknames: Mine is Bear and hers is Bear Paw, so we would joke and laugh about that coincidence."
