KB Home debuts Kingwood Crest

KB Home is opening Kingwood Crest, the final neighborhood in The Vistas village of Summerlin, an 815-acre European-inspired village located west of Interstate 215 near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

Five floor plans ranging from 1,704 to 2,712 square feet are available. Prices start in the mid-$200,000s.

All floor plans are two-story with the exception of one single-story, 1,704 square-foot model. Each home offers an attached two-car garage and a minimum of three bedrooms and two baths. The larger home floor plan can accommodate as many as six bedrooms and three baths. Duel master and/or downstairs bedroom options are available in select floor plans.

KB Home has been building homes in the master-planned community of Summerlin for more than a decade. To date, the homebuilder has built more than 4,400 homes in more than two dozen neighborhoods throughout the community.

"We're very proud of our history and presence in Summerlin," said Jim Widner, regional president for KB Home Nevada.

Lifestyle offerings in The Vistas village include more than 50 acres of open space including The Vistas Community Park, a nearly 25-acre park home to tennis and basketball courts, playground areas, three baseball fields and Summerlin's first football field, miles of trails, Linda Givens Elementary School and Vista Commons, a 100,000-square-foot Albertsons anchored neighborhood retail center.

Other lifestyle offerings located adjacent to the village include the nearly 200,000-acre Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, the 500,000-square-foot Canyon Pointe Shopping Center and the $1 billion Red Rock Casino Resort Spa.

"The Vistas is ideally situated for homebuyers who appreciate the best of both worlds," said Julie Cleaver, vice president of design and planning for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin. "Residents enjoy the picturesque and serene Red Rock Canyon as well as direct access to several of the community's most popular amenities. In a market that promotes location, The Vistas is the place."

Developed by The Howard Hughes Corp., Summerlin is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a year-long celebration that commenced in May 2010.

Located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley, Summerlin encompasses 22,500 acres with 7,500 acres still remaining to accommodate future growth within the master plan.

The community is currently home to nearly 100,000 residents with amenities including more than 150 neighborhood and village parks, more than 150 completed miles of the Summerlin trail system, nine golf courses, a dozen houses of worship, shopping centers, medical and cultural facilities, business parks, 25 public and private schools and 75 selling floor plans.

Homes are available in a variety of styles -- from single-family homes to townhomes, condominiums and lofts -- priced from the mid-$100,000s to more than $2 million. Custom-home sites in The Ridges are priced from the $500,000s.
