KB Home holds ‘Something for Everyone’ sales promotion

KB Home is hosting its "Something for Everyone" sales event through May 8 at select Las Vegas Valley communities.

Homebuyers who purchase a KB home at a participating community and finance the purchase through KBA Mortgage LLC may be eligible for an $8,000 credit to spend on their home's personalizing details at the KB Home Studio and/or closing costs.

The credit can be put toward options such as the kitchen and master bath retreat upgrades or hardwood floors.

The builder's Built-to-Order program allows the homebuyers to choose the things that matter most to them as they make the most significant purchase of their life, from choosing their ideal neighborhood and finding their preferred homesite to selecting the interior design details.

KB Home homebuyers work with their own design consultant at the KB Home Studio, a retail-like showroom that offers a variety of interior and exterior design options.

Homebuyers may receive a studio credit for personalizing their new home at select communities, including those from KB Home's Maravilla collection in the Mountain's Edge master plan.

Maravilla homes include as many as five bedrooms, three baths and two-car garages. The two-story homes range from 1,273 to 2,041 square feet. All homes are designed to be open and flexible, with great rooms located toward the back of the home adjacent to the kitchen. In some plans, a loft space can be converted into an additional bedroom or utilized as a home office, study or media room.

The studio credit is also available to home shoppers at KB Home's Brookhaven, a gated community located in the northwestern part of the Las Vegas Valley.

At Brookhaven, home shoppers have their choice of five floor plans ranging from 1,612 to 2,165 square feet. The two-story home designs include as many as five bedrooms, three baths and two-car garages.

In addition to choosing their personal details through the builder's Built to Order program, homeowners can save money on monthly expenses.

Homes in KB Las Vegas communities have earned the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star as well as NV Energy's Energy Plus certification.

Features like programmable thermostats, radiant barrier roof lining, low-e windows and efficient heating and cooling systems all help keep household utility bills low.

A new Energy Star-qualified KB home is as much as 45 percent more efficient than a home built as recently as the 1990s and an Energy Plus-certified home is 15 percent more efficient than that, according to company officials.

Additionally, the company recently announced a new initiative that will provide home shoppers an Energy Performance Guide, or EPG. It's a numerical rating of a home's energy efficiency and an estimate of monthly electric and gas costs for a home.

KB Home officials said the company is the first national builder in the industry to provide such a rating for all its homes.

It is similar to the miles per gallon rating or MPG, which reflects an automobile's fuel efficiency. MPG is a standard disclosure when purchasing a car.

In fact, the KB Home EPG informs homeowners and prospective buyers about the relative energy efficiency of a KB home and provides them with an estimated dollar amount for monthly electric and/or gas energy costs for the home as designed.

This valuable information gives homeowners the ability to budget for their monthly expenses.
