KB to open new neighborhood in Henderson

KB Home is now open for information at its newest neighborhood in Henderson. Versante will feature its signature Built to Order, Energy Star and Energy Plus-certified new homes nestled in the city's foothills, offering residents views of the valley and iconic Las Vegas Strip below.

Home shoppers have their choice of five floor plans ranging in size from 1,705 to 2,568 square feet with as many as five bedrooms, 2½ or three baths and two-car garages.

The one- and two-story homes are designed to be open and airy with great room living areas opening up to outdoor living areas with optional covered patios.

Flexible den or loft spaces can be used in a variety of ways or converted to an additional bedroom.

One of the two-story plans allows for a downstairs bedroom suite and other options include second-floor balconies, built-in tech desks and luxury master baths with spa tubs, dual sinks and other upgrades.

All homes that will be built at Versante are designed to help homeowners save money on monthly expenses by earning both the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star as well as NV Energy's Energy Plus certifications. Features like programmable thermostats, radiant barrier roof lining, low-e windows and efficient heating and cooling systems all help keep household utility bills low.

To better illustrate the advantages of such a home, KB Home now includes its Energy Performance Guide in all of its new homes.

Similar to an mpg sticker on cars, the EPG provides homebuyers with estimated monthly electric and gas costs for their new home as designed, as well as valuable information on the home's relative energy efficiency when compared to a typical new home or resale home.

It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. except on Monday when it opens at noon.

Proceed south on Gibson to Paseo Verde Parkway and turn left.

Turn right into the community and continue to the temporary sales office on the left.
