Lennar defines the new ‘Centennial’ residence

A centennial celebrates a 100th anniversary. "Centennial" is also the name of a very popular 1978 television mini-series that chronicled the economic and cultural growth of Centennial, Colo., spanning two centuries from the mid-1770s up to the late 1970s.

Fast-forward to 2007, Lennar's Centennial Park is building a history of its own by offering single-family homes from the $200,000s.

The neighborhood is located at North Durango and Elkhorn roads and offers a landscaped entry drive leading to iron gates, and views to a 3-acre community park.

Features included in the price of the home are granite countertops, window coverings, General Electric kitchen appliances, including a refrigerator and a washer and dryer. Homes are Energy Star-certified.

Six two-story homes measure from 1,478 square feet, with three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, to 1,909 square feet with three bedrooms, loft and 2 1/2 baths.

Homes feature a two-car garage. Interiors house great room spaces, architecturally planned art niches, 9-foot ceilings, pantries, dining areas and raised-panel interior doors. Accents include ceramic-tile entries, fireplace and decorative windows and pot shelves.

Exteriors are accented by two-tone coordinated color schemes with decorative wrought iron, photo-cell-activated garage coach lights, rear-yard block walls with a wrought iron gate and front-yard landscaping.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 north to Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, and exit west to Durango Road. Drive north on Durango to Elkhorn Road.

The sales office and model homes are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Monday, when they close at 3 p.m.
