Man with GoPro runs into burning building to help — VIDEO
An incredible citizen rescue effort was caught on camera when a man testing a new GoPro ran door-to-door at an apartment building while a section of it was on fire.
In the video, posted on YouTube by Spencer Butler, you see him and friends walk up to an apartment building on fire in Rapid City, South Dakota. Associated Press reported the fire was started by a lightning strike.
Butler goes to the apartments, sometimes kicking in doors to check if everyone and their pets are safe. He says in the video caption they saved three dogs and no lives were lost.
The fire displaced 27 residents and one person was treated for smoke inhalation.
