More lieutenant governor ad buys

Democratic candidates for lieutenant governor Robert Randazzo and Paul Murad have launched new television ads, joining candidate Jessica Sferrazza who last week launched her own TV campaign. That leaves candidate Robert Goodman as the only one of four in the primary without a presence on the airwaves.

Randazzo consultant Ronni Council of Organized Karma says his buy was worth about $60,000 and focused mainly on southern Nevada. Murad said his buy was $25,000 and focused on Spanish-language television only in both northern and southern Nevada. Sferrazza's buy was worth about $75,000.

Murad said he thinks his money will go further on Spanish language television because it is a higher concentration of Democrats among viewers, there are fewer channels and he thinks controversy over the Arizona immigration law will increase turnout among Hispanic voters.

Murad, who speaks Spanish, did his ad without a voiceover.
