Mountain’s Edge, Providence open new neighborhoods

According to Deonna Stocker, manager for Mountain's Edge and Providence information center operations, now is the time to buy a new home.

"With low interest rates available and the tax incentives until the April 30 deadline, now is a great time for buyers to visit the builders at each of the master plans and see what's possible," Stocker said.

Mountain's Edge's newest builder is Storybook Homes, which is forming an interest list of its community that will target first-time, entry-level buyers with homes priced from the low $100,000s.

Camden Homes will soon begin presales for its new condominium complex at Mountain's Edge called Quintessa, which opens in May. Prices will start in the mid-$100,000s and homes will range from 1,345 to 2,500 square feet, featuring one- and two-story homes. Residents of the gated community will have access to a pool, spa, barbecues, 24-hour fitness area and putting greens.

KB Home will open Maravilla Ridges and Maravilla Courts May 22, with prices starting in the $130,000s. Homes in Maravilla Ridges will range from 1,393 to 1,935. Maravilla Courts will offer homes from 1,524 to 2,041 square feet. KB Home is preselling these homes to take advantage of the homebuyer tax credit.

Meritage Homes is reopening its Summer Trail, with two new models and new floor plans.

Providence in northwestern Las Vegas also will open neighborhoods.

R/S Development recently opened new models for its Liberty Hill community that includes three floor plans and pricing in the low $150,000s.

The floor plans measure from 1,513 to 1,876 square feet and include as many as four bedrooms. Liberty Hill offers a private park with playground equipment, restrooms and a swimming pool that will open soon.

Ryland Homes has new homes coming in late April with its Kensington neighborhood priced from the low $100,000s. The homes range from 2,400 to 3,039 square feet with options for four or five bedrooms, 2½ to three baths and two- and three-car garages. Ryland Homes' Windimere community is priced from the high $100,000s with plans ranging from 1,608 to 2,365 square feet.

Richmond American Homes is preparing to open models at Highgate in May. The gated community will feature a variety of ranch-style and two-story floor plans, ranging from 2,100 to 2,550 square feet with up to five bedrooms. Pricing is projected to start in the low $200,000s. The builder also will presale its Chestnut Hill neighborhood.

Warmington Residential Nevada continues opening specials for 12 new models and three new neighborhoods at its Northern Terrace at Providence.

Lennar has three communities inside Providence, including Arbor Ridge, Hampton Glen and Westminster with homes that qualify for the government tax credit. The builder also is offering 3 percent toward closing costs. Homebuyers at each of the communities are offered Lennar's Everything You Want and Need package.

Participating homebuilders at Providence and Mountain's Edge include Amstar, Beazer Homes, Camden Homes, KB Home, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Pardee Homes, Phillips Homes, Pulte Homes, Richmond American Homes, R/S Development, Ryland Homes, Storybook Homes and Warmington Residential Nevada.
