Mummified body found inside hoarder’s San Francisco home

The mummified remains of a human body were found Saturday in a hoarder’s San Francisco home.
Police believe the blanket-wrapped body belonged to homeowner Anna Ragin, a 90-year-old woman who had not been seen by neighbors for nearly a decade, Fox 2 St. Louis reports.
Ragin’s daughter, Carolyn Ragin, 65, was reportedly seen regularly walking a dog around the area.
Police were called to the scene after the daughter revealed the secret of the body to her tax consultant.
The hoard was so bad that the cleanup crew had to wear oxygen masks just to clear out the mess.
“Public health is dealing with the rats and reported spiders,” Supervisor Eric Mar told CBS San Francisco. “My hope is that the Department of Public Health and the contractors are protecting the neighborhood from the infestation of different things.”
Officials say the corpse had been in the house for about 5 years.
It is not clear why Ragin neglected to inform law enforcement of her mother’s passing, but the medical examiner will identify the body and cause of death at a later date.
