Pavilion Center Pool, 101 S. Pavilion Center Drive, is scheduled to open for the summer season for all ages beginning June 13.

Times are from 6 to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday, adult lap swim; noon to 4 p.m. all ages; 4 to 7 p.m. adult lap swim; noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, all ages.

Daily fees are $1 for ages 4 to 17, $2 for ages 18 to 49, $1.50 for age 50 or older and free for children 3 or younger.

All-summer pool passes (valid through Labor Day) are $40 for individuals, $60 for a family up to eight people and $30 for an adult 50 or older.

Each pool will offer private, semi-private and small group swimming lessons. Private lessons are $100, semi-private lessons (two to three students) are $50 and group lessons (four or more students) are $25 for six 45-minute lessons.

Swim lesson sessions are scheduled to begin the week of June 13.

Each pool also will offer novice competitive swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and water polo teams for swimmers ages 7 to 17 for $25 for the entire summer pool season.

From 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, there are limited lanes for adult lap swim only at Municipal Pool, 431 E. Bonanza Road.

5K/1-Mile event set for Saturday
at Fleet Feet Sports

The 4 Point 5K/1 Mile is planned for 7 a.m. Saturday at Fleet Feet Sports Las Vegas, 7575 W. Washington Ave., Suite 123.

Registration is $30. Register at imathlete.com/events/the4point5k.

Race packets can be picked up from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday or beginning at 5:30 a.m. on race day at Fleet Feet.

The event benefits the Miss Greater Las Vegas & Miss Clark County Scholarship Program.

Ladies Night Out fundraiser set
for june 1 at Boca Park

Ladies Night Out, a fundraiser, is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. June 1 at MJ Christensen Diamonds, 8980 W. Charleston Blvd., in Boca Park.

The proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and involves neighboring businesses including the Hotel California and CupKates of Las Vegas, which will have samples on hand. Seated massages by Massage Envy will be available. Ladies Night Out is an evening of entertainment, food and Kahunaville rum drinks.

Summerlin Art Festival
calling for artisans

Artists who work in a variety of media and styles are invited to apply for participation in the 17th Summerlin Art Festival, scheduled for Sept. 24 and 25 at Summerlin Centre Community Park, 1800 S. Town Center Drive.

The free, annual outdoor festival attracts more than 20,000 art lovers. Past artist participants have included painters, jewelers, sculptors and fine craftsmen. More than 100 artists are expected to participate.

In addition to the artists, the festival also will feature live entertainment, chalk art and a variety of food and beverage options.

Nevada Desert Mermaids to perform

The Nevada Desert Mermaids synchronized swimming team plans to perform at 4 p.m. June 4 at Pavilion Center Pool, 101 S. Pavilion Center Drive. The event is free for spectators.
