Southern Hills Republican Women plan to host Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki at 11:30 a.m. June 28 at Buckman's Grille at the Revere Golf Club, 2600 Hampton Road. Krolicki was re-elected to his second term in 2010, serves as head of tourism and presides over the Senate.

Enjoy an afternoon of bounce houses, popcorn and a family-friendly movie at Whitney Ranch Recreation Center's Jump 'n Movie. The all-ages event is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the center, 1575 Galleria Drive Participation is $5 each.

"Gnomeo & Juliet," rated G, is slated to be shown on a giant inflatable screen. Bounce houses will be open from 1 to
3:30 p.m., when the movie starts, and will reopen after the movie.

HomeGoods stores seeking
donations to fight cancer

Now through Sunday , local HomeGoods shoppers can support cancer care and research while shopping at the off-price home fashions retailer. More than 210 HomeGoods stores nationwide will be participating in the 11th annual HomeGoods "Helps Families Fight Cancer" campaign benefiting the Jimmy Fund, which supports the lifesaving mission of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

HomeGoods customers who would like to participate can make a $1, $5 or $10 contribution at the register with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Dana-Farber.

HomeGoods has a store at 2950 St. Rose Parkway.

HENDERSON SERVES UP
VOLLYEBALL TOURNAMENT

Henderson is scheduled to host its second annual Viva Las Volley Volleyball Tournament from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Russell Road Recreation Complex, 5901 E. Russell Road.

Spectator admission is free. Teams must register from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Green Valley Ranch Resort, 2300 Paseo Verde Parkway.

People can register as a two-person team for $70 or a four-person coed team for $120. Coed teams must have two women on the court at all times.

Sun City Anthem PET CLUB to raise MONEY
FOR Nevada SPCA during woofstock

The Sun City Anthem Pet Club is scheduled to host the first Woofstock at 7:45 a.m. Saturday at the Anthem Center, 2450 Hampton Drive.

All the proceeds from the event are going to the Nevada SPCA. The event is slated to feature entertainment, vendor tables and raffles. Raffle tickets are $5 or three for $10 with the chance to win gift baskets, wine, spa packages and an adult bike worth $1,800.
