Newsweek features Harry Reid’s electoral challenges

Newsweek takes the plunge into Nevada politics with an article about Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., under the headline "Harried Reid".

"You would think that being majority leader would help a senator get reelected. You would be wrong," the piece states.

Lots of stuff that's familiar to Nevada political followers, but also a good piece for a national audience to get a taste of Reid's situation in Nevada.

Writer Katie Connolly puts it succinctly when describing why Reid might pull through in 2010, "He may not win popularity contests, but he brings home the bacon for the mining and gaming industries, and he's pivotal to negotiations to increase Nevada's dwindling water supply."
