Nissan manager sells cars nationwide

Henderson Nissan veteran salesman Bruce Boisvert likes the car business; he has been with the Valley Automall dealership for almost nine years.
When you throw in the fact that he has a customer base of about 3,700 from California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New York, New England and Colorado, it's easy to see that the 57-year-old sales manager is a true survivor in a business many times dominated by turnover.
"I started buying cars and selling them on the street in Irvine, Calif., in 1991," said the friendly native of Haverhill, Mass. "It's the fact that you help somebody get their dream car and feel like they got a good deal.
"I like the fact that I can go into any store, see one of my customers and I don't have to turn my head. I have a lot of return customers who call me up, tell me what they want and they're out of the dealership in an hour. There are a lot of people who trust me when it comes to buying a car."
Over the years, Boisvert has sold multiple cars to family members. He spends significant amounts of time on his cellular phone staying in contact with long-time customers and referrals he receives from friends.
Boisvert's car deals over the years have been to a wide assortment of professionals ranging from entertainers to renowned pianist Whitney Phoenix along with several lawyers, doctors and hotel executives.
"I have a great family named the Wades from Alaska that has bought cars from me for six years," Boisvert adds. "The customer is in the Coast Guard and the wife and kids now live here, so I see them often. I have sold their daughter two cars and I sold his mother a car.
"A lot of people stop in just to say hello. There is no pressure in my car deals."
The Nissan is a strong product, and Boisvert is such a believer that he owns two of them.
"I drive an Altima and my wife drives an Xterra," Boisvert said. "It's 105,000 miles before your first tune up and all you have to do is change the oil every 3,700 miles. These are very dependable cars and I never worry about my customers after they have completed their purchase."
In fact, one of Boisvert's customers purchased a 2006 Altima for a daugther, who was later in a head-on accident in the vehicle. The family was so amazed at the safety provided by the Nissan that they purchased another Altima just like it from Boisvert.
"He was so impressed at the safety factor of the Altima after it had been in the crash that he traveled to Las Vegas from San Diego to buy another car just like it for his daughter," Boisvert said.
It is not hard finding people in the car business who admire Boisvert.
"Bruce is a very good person," said Henderson Nissan General Manager Marty McKenna. "He has been in the business for a long time and he is able to deal with the ups and downs without panicking. People appreciate his knowledge and his professional manner."
Stephanie Cain, a local accountant, purchased two Nissan Altimas (an '06 and new '08) from Boisvert.
"Bruce is very straight-forward," said Cain, who has lived in Las Vegas for 25 years. "He is very honest and won't feed you a line. I have sent all of my friends and family members to him."
Robert Patti, a local businessman, bought a used car from Boisvert.
"I came back to Las Vegas from New York in October and needed a car," explained Patti. "I went to several other dealerships in the Valley Automall and nobody could help me. I went and talked to Bruce and he got me into a car with my own loan at a good interest rate. He is stand-up guy and I appreciate that."
