No news on player suspended for tweeting

UNLV coach Bobby Hauck said today he didn't have new information suspended wide receiver Phillip Payne.

"I would describe the situation as fluid," Hauck said. "I'm not going to discipline guys in the press."

He said Payne, suspended last week after several tweets critical of the coaching staff, would practice this week, but otherwise did not offer insight into Payne's status. The coach did say Payne wouldn't be available for media interviews "probably ... for the foreseeable future."

UNLV (1-5, 1-1 Mountain West Conference) plays at Colorado State (1-5, 0-2) at 11 a.m. PDT Saturday.
