Obama looks inept on important matters
Barack Obama once again proved that he is a president with foresight.
He put a lot of time, thought and effort into his March Madness college basketball picks ... and did pretty well this weekend.
He also spent the weekend in Rio with his family, which is nice if you have the inclination and time to be the Tourist in Chief of America.
On the foreign front, however, our president may need a little more work. After weeks of dithering, he used military force in Libya.
Now, let's clearly state the obvious: Die-hard defenders of Obama will defend him no matter what -- even if it is to follow him into war No. 3. And die-hard detractors of Obama will find ample room to criticize.
I'll only point out that between basketball, Rio and Libya, this was a bad, bad "optic" weekend for the president from the perspective of "average" Americans. It made him look good at the wrong things and inept at the important things.
