Obama turning 50, but when? Don’t ask him

For those of you who still think President Barack hung the moon when it comes to public speaking, allow me to point to another strange mistake, which the media still likes to pass off as a "senior moment."

Go here and see President Obama say that he's turning 50 "in about a week". If he'd check his birth certificate, he'd see that he's actually turning 50 in about three weeks. Might be a minor mistake if he were not referring to his own milestone birthday.

Of course, you'll remember he got the year way wrong (2008 instead of 2011) when signing a guest book in London, he got his daughter's age wrong not long back and, worst of all, totally mixed up two American war heroes in a speech to the troops.

As I've said before, if this had been GWB or Ronald Reagan, do you think the press would be essentially ignoring these errors?
