BUSINESS

The U.S. Small Business Administration appointed Donna Davis to regional administrator of Region IX, which includes operations in Arizona, California, Guam, Hawaii and Nevada. Davis has more than 30 years of experience in working with small businesses and corporations, as well as public service with governments at the city, state and federal levels.

CONSTRUCTION

McCarthy Building Companies Inc. promoted Tim Bennett to project manager for the firm’s Nevada division. Since joining in 2007, Bennett has played a key role in the completion of many projects in Nevada.

GAMING

The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers appointed Connie Jones, a 20-year gaming industry veteran, to director of responsible gaming.

HEALTH CARE

Terence Agustin joined HealthCare Partners Medical Group. Agustin, who specializes in internal medicine and geriatric care, is seeing patients at the Civic Center facility in North Las Vegas.

Southwest Medical Associates recognized the exemplary performance of their health care providers with special awards in which peers and fellow providers make the nominations and SMA executive leadership reviews and selects the winners.

The winners include Valeria Asimenios, Rena Rivera, Chang-Hoon Ahn, Samson Otuwa, Steve Forcier, Laurel Pope, Dennis Moore, Charalee Smith, Michael Kooyman and Ellen Martin.

LAW

Bailey Kennedy named Joseph Liebman partner. Liebman practices in the area of civil litigation, including contract and real estate disputes, product liability defense, professional liability defense and health care.

Jolley Urga Woodbury & Little named Melissa L. Waite partner. Waite focuses on real estate transactions and finance, commercial transactions, business formations, gaming law and privilege licensing.

Alicia R. Ashcraft, managing partner of Ashcraft & Barr | LLP, received an AV Preeminent Certification Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Bradley Richardson joined Fennemore Craig Jones Vargas’ Las Vegas office. Richardson practices in the areas of commercial litigation, professional liability, estate planning and probate.

NONPROFIT

MountainView Hospital CEO Chris Mowan joined Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s advisory board of directors. MountainView has hosted one of Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s donation centers for 16 years, making this partnership one of the longest-running in Goodwill’s history.

PROFESSIONAL GROUPS

The Henderson Chamber of Commerce named Bill Bokelmann sales associate. Bokelmann is responsible for generating sales by soliciting potential members, communicating with existing members and promoting the chamber through events.

RETAIL

Forest City Enterprises appointed LaWanda Davis to assistant general manager for Town Square Las Vegas.
