ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING
Las Vegas-based architecture firm LGA named Adrienne Logan interior designer. Logan is working on the conceptual designs for Downtown Wellness Center, a clinic for Zappos employees in downtown Las Vegas, the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and UNLV Libraries.
Geotechnical & Environmental Services Inc. named Gypsie Lamotte assistant bookkeeper for the GES Las Vegas office. Lamotte is responsible for assisting with the firm’s accounting practices and maintenance of fiscal records.
Christopher W. Larsen has been named principal at PGAL LLC, the Las Vegas office of national architecture/engineering firm PGAL. Larsen will be responsible for business development, contract negotiation, project design through construction and staff management/mentoring.
CHAMBER
The Urban Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors has selected Kenneth C. Evans as the organization’s next president. A retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, small-business owner and 25-year resident of Las Vegas, Evans will be responsible for the day-to-day operations.
ENVIRONMENT
Western Environmental Testing Laboratory named Jacki Stone to its Las Vegas WETLAB team. Stone previously worked as a chemist at Veritas Laboratories in Las Vegas for two years.
FINANCE
Brad J. Watts has joined Alpine Mortgage Planning as a mortgage adviser. Watts previously worked at JFK Financial Inc. as vice president of mortgage banking.
HEALTH CARE
Primary care provider Judy Hui-ling Chen has joined HealthCare Partners Medical Group and is seeing patients at the HealthCare Partners Wynn Clinic.
LAW
Alverson, Taylor, Mortensen & Sanders received the 2013 Nevada Excellence Award by the Small Business Institute for Excellence in Commerce.
Gov. Brian Sandoval reappointed McDonald Carano Wilson partner Kathleen Drakulich to a four-year term on the Board of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
MEDIA
PBS President and CEO Paula Kerger announced the election of four station leaders to serve as professional directors on the PBS Board of Directors. Vegas PBS General Manager Tom Axtell was one of four individuals elected. This appointment marks Axtell’s fourth term serving on the PBS Board. Each of the directors will serve a three-year term that begins Nov. 6.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Republic Services announced three new additions to the team: Tim Powell, new area president, and Mark Ludlow, new area sales manager, lead the team in the Utah, Nevada and Colorado divisions, while Leslie Mujica is the new account executive with the Las Vegas sales team managing major accounts.
