Palin’s gaffe put White House at ‘1400 Pennsylvania Avenue’
Uh oh. Sarah Palin flubbed on television and it almost broke Twitter.
The former Alaska governor, who ran for the vice presidency in 2008 alongside U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), spoke at the Values Voter Summit on Friday and made a pretty significant gaffe, mediaite.com reports.
Palin’s address aimed to expose prejudice in politics. Instead, she made herself the target of another issue — factual error.
“They scream racism just to end debate. Well, don’t retreat. You reload with truth — which I know is an endangered species at 1400 Pennsylvania Avenue anyway, truth.”
The White House’s official address is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20500.
Here’s what comes up on a map at 1400 Pennsylvania Avenue: The Willard Hotel.
