Pardee Homes builds green with LivingSmart program

Every day is Earth Day for families who are living in new Pardee Homes, built by a company that has been recognized as a national leader in green building for the past 13 years.

In Southern Nevada, Pardee currently offers green homes through its LivingSmart program at eight valley neighborhoods.

Today, that commitment has grown to become Pardee's far more comprehensive -- and award-winning -- LivingSmart program.

LivingSmart provides more than 30 earth-friendly standard and optional systems and features for new-home buyers, and it applies to every newly designed home the company offers.

The company has earned recognition from the National Association of Home Builders as Green Building Corporate Advocate of the Year 2010. In addition to other green builder awards, the company has won awards from the PCBC Western conference Gold Nugget Awards and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Pardee superintendent Rob Keune was designated the first Certified Green Professional in Nevada last year by the National Association of Home Builders, an exclusive designation recognizing industry professionals who incorporate green-building principles into homes using cost-effective and affordable options.
