Pardee sponsors inaugural runs

Experienced and casual runners ran the challenging course presented in the inaugural Coyote Springs 50K, half-marathon and 10K, held Nov. 13 in the Coyote Springs community, located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 93 and State Route 168, 50 miles from downtown Las Vegas.

"Coyote Springs features several miles of trails with a variety of challenges and unmatched scenery," said Klif Andrews, division president, Pardee Homes.

"The goal of this inaugural event was introduce this great trail system to running and outdoor enthusiasts while presenting a glimpse at the overall Coyote Springs community."

"If they wanted people to know where Coyote Springs is, this is a great way to do it," said half-marathon participant Jennifer Henderson of Palm Springs, Calif.

The Coyote Springs 50K, Half-Marathon and 10K was organized and managed by Desert Sky Adventures of Las Vegas. Proceeds benefitted HomeAid Southern Nevada, a nonprofit organization dedicated to partnering service providers with the building industry.

The master-planned Coyote Springs community is still in its early development phases. The Chase at Coyote Springs, a Jack Nicklaus signature course, opened in May 2008. For more information on Coyote Springs, visit coyotesprings.com.
