Pies Unlimited takes dessert options up a notch

While much of its business comes from special orders, wholesale and resort restaurant clients, the retail outlet at Pies Unlimited, 2465 W. Craig Road, packs in plenty of pies and products from adjacent sister businesses Say Cheesecake and Fantasy Cakes Bakery.

Tucked in the back of Craig Plaza, the bakery store stocks a rotating sampling of the products found at piesunlimited.com, a company founded in Sun City Summerlin around a decade ago.

Display cases are packed with cakes, cupcakes and mini bundt cakes.

And then, of course, there are the pies.

Customers will find the tried-and-true pies filled with apple, cherry, blueberry, pumpkin, lemon meringue, key lime, pecan or peach, but mixed in are unique flavors such as strawberry rhubarb, pineapple, boysenberry cream or peanut butter chocolate meringue.

Worried about calories? Many of the most popular pies, cakes and cheesecakes come in no-sugar-added versions sweetened with a sugar substitute.

Not ready to gobble down a whole pie? Pies Unlimited has you covered. Mini personal pie versions of just about everything are plentiful. They also make a great choice for families who can’t agree on one flavor.

Prices range from $2.69 for a mini pie to $9.99 and $11.99 for full-size pies. Cakes can be had for $1.99 for a cupcake, $8.99 for a 9-inch white cake and $19.99 for a half-sheet white cake.

In addition to retail sales, the business offers a fundraising program to help Clark County schools, charities and youth organizations raise money selling pies and cheesecakes.

While there is no seating or place to eat a pie onsite, Pies Unlimited does offer gift packages and delivery.

Pies Unlimited is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
