Pulte to host grand opening

Today, Pulte Homes is unveiling brand-new, professionally furnished and decorated model homes at the grand opening celebration of Arden Park, a new single-family neighborhood located on the western side of the valley off Durango Drive and Edna Avenue, just south of Sahara Avenue.

The event will feature performances by a professional BMX bicycle demonstration team, free refreshments and a raffle for prizes. The BMX performances will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and visitors of all ages are invited to take photos with the team and collect autographs.

“The BMX team is world-renowned for their thrilling, entertaining and educational bicycle performances and their appearance at our grand opening will be something no one with children will want to miss,” said Walter Cuculic, director of marketing for Pulte Homes Las Vegas Division.

Priced from the $190,000s, Arden Park is an intimate neighborhood of 40 two-story homes ranging from 1,677 to 2,100 square feet. The subdivision is located around the corner from Desert Breeze Park. The floor plan designs offer as many as four bedrooms and a variety of options for lofts, additional bedrooms and home offices.

“Arden Park is a neighborhood where homeowners will not have to wait for their community amenities to arrive in the future, because they are here now,” Cuculic said.

“This unique neighborhood already offers convenient access to shopping, professional services, public and private schools, opportunities for recreation and entertainment, proximity to the amenities of nearby master-planned communities and so many other conveniences families enjoy having close to home.

“The floor plan designs are very attractive, open, spacious, and most importantly, they are very competitively priced, considering their size, the included features, the quality of construction and energy efficiency that is synonymous with the name, Pulte.

“Right now, many buyers are considering the purchase of bank-owned or short-sale homes, thinking they will receive a ‘great deal’ for their money,” he said.

“However, these types of homes are generally sold in ‘as in’ condition, where the buyer might be faced with up-front and/or unexpected and expensive repairs down the line. Here at Arden Park, we’re presenting an opportunity to own a brand-new Pulte home that is under warranty; offers a variety of choices in terms of flooring, cabinetry and surface materials; and will require minimal out-of-pocket expenses for our buyers upon move-in.

“It is a very convenient and sensible alternative for homebuyers who are interested in this prime area of Las Vegas, but would prefer to avoid the mysteries that can be associated with buying a resale home.”

All of the homes at Arden Park will include Pulte’s Signature Standards package, which includes numerous brand-name amenities as standard features and are included in the price of the home.

They include quality countertops in a choice of colors and patterns, York heating and air conditioning systems, Mohawk flooring, Sherwin-Williams paint, Moen faucets, Sterling plumbing fixtures, G.E. appliances, Schlage door hardware and Sea Gull lighting.

Each home is constructed with Environments for Living Diamond-level building technology with blown-in cellulose insulation, conditioned attic spaces, 15 SEER-rated air-conditioning systems and dual-paned, vinyl-framed low-e windows.

Cuculic said homeowners benefit from decreased internal and external contaminants, increased indoor air quality, decreased heating and cooling usage and increased comfort, durability and tightness.

To visit, take west Sahara Avenue to Durango Drive and proceed south to Edna Avenue. Turn east on Edna and follow the signs to the sales information center and model homes.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily. For more information call 205-3844 or log on to pulte.com/ardenpark.

Movie posters might soon be based on your clicks

You may have thought you left Blockbuster behind, but the basic way we browse movies hasn’t changed all that much. We peruse poster after poster, kind of like walking the aisles of a ‘90s-era video store. That one poster image, meant to appeal to as many people as possible, is often all we see before […]
