Rally brings ownership issues to light

The National Association of Home Builders, Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, Builders Association of Northern Nevada, Nevada Association of Realtors, Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors and elected officials met Thursday afternoon to support Nevada homeowners and advocate to preserve the tax deduction for mortgage interest.

The assembled crowd heard from U.S. Sen. Dean Heller, former Rep. Dina Titus, Rep. Joe Heck and Clark County Commissioner Susan Brager about their efforts to support homeowners in Nevada and nationally .

Bob Nielsen, a homebuilder from Nevada and immediate past chairman of the National Association of Homebuilders, spoke about the economic impact of the homebuilding industry in the state and its role as a job creator .
