Retired nurse sold on her Hyundai Santa Fe

Barbara Taylor is sold on the Hyundai Santa Fe.

The retired nurse and 19-year resident of Las Vegas purchased her 2004 vehicle in the summer of 2003 from Planet Hyundai Sahara.

She said it has been trouble-free since she drove it off the lot.

“I had a 2002 Santa Fe at the time and decided to get an upgrade,” said Taylor, native of Pennsylvania who has seen a lot of the country when her father was in the U.S. Army.

When the time came to upgrade, Taylor said she didn’t consider any vehicle other than the Hyundai Santa Fe.
“I only drive around the city,” said Taylor, who also brings her vehicle to Planet Hyundai Sahara for service. “It’s very important for me to have a car that I can count on, and I have found exactly that with both of my Hyundais.”

She said there are many reasons she enjoys her Santa Fe.

“I don’t have any problem carrying anything that I need to transport. It’s very dependable and it rides good. The fuel mileage is also very reasonable considering that it’s an SUV,” Taylor said.

While Taylor said she is happy with her current vehicle, she is convinced that she’ll return to Planet Hyundai for her next car.
“If I ever do purchase again, it will be a new Santa Fe,” Taylor said. “People on the street always ask me how I like my car and I tell them I love it.”

The Hyundai warranty — 10-year, 100,000-mile engine warranty — was a key factor in her purchase, according to Taylor.
“I have peace of mind with the Hyundai. There is also a roadside package that comes with the car, too.”

In her unofficial role as a spokesman for Hyundai, Taylor said she has recommended the vehicle to many others.

“I never worry about recommending the Hyundai to others,” said Taylor, whose car has about 54,000 miles. “I really like it.”

Taylor said she also is a big fan of Planet Hyundai’s service department.
“I never worry about going to the service department. They always treat me well.”

Planet Hyundai Sahara delivery specialist Bob Higdon said longtime owners of Hyundai vehicles are actually very common.
“We hear stories like Barbara’s all the time,” said Higdon , who has been in the car business for 28 years. “The Hyundai is a wonderful product. It has great longevity, a significant bonus and selling feature for those living in the desert.”

Planet Hyundai Sahara, at 7150 W. Sahara Ave., is part of a locally owned umbrella of dealerships that includes Planet Hyundai Centennial, 6200 Centennial Center Blvd., and Planet Hyundai Used Car Super Store, 7100 W. Sahara Ave.
