Rhodes Ranch to host parade for residents

The master-planned community of Rhodes Ranch in southwestern Las Vegas plans to host a family parade and pool party for residents this Fourth of July.

"One of the great benefits of living in Rhodes Ranch is access to the 35,000-square-foot R-Club recreation center and all the fun it has to offer," said Brooke Willoby, recreation director for the community.

"We'll get together for a fun, family parade to celebrate Independence Day, then follow it with a pool party complete with a DJ, games, entertainment and a food court. It's something Rhodes Ranch residents look forward to every year."

Residents have exclusive access to the community's recreation center and pools as a part of its homeowner's association membership.

Among the activities offered at the R-Club are educational classes like intro to photoshop and community watch campaign courses. "We also offer summer arts and crafts classes for both children and adults," Willoby said.

According to Willoby, for many Rhodes Ranch residents, fitness is a priority. Group fitness classes are offered at the R-Club, including yoga, boot camp and aerobics for adults. "We offer fitness classes for the little ones with Diaper Gym and Limbers," she said. "We even have a Hip Hop dance class designed just for teenagers."

The R Club also offers swim lessons, tennis classes and basketball classes.

"The R-Club at Rhodes Ranch was designed to give residents an opportunity to exercise, socialize, study, work or meet in a comfortable central location," Willoby said.

"From the fitness center to the billiards room, there is no shortage of things to do here."

The R-Club's indoor fitness center includes weights and cardiovascular equipment, a full-length basketball court and two racquetball/handball courts.

Rhodes Ranch is also home to one of the largest water parks in Las Vegas. Now open, it includes a 13,000-square-foot lagoon pool with wading areas, a 10,000-square-foot water park with three speed slides, five kid slides, rope bridges, multiple squirt gun stations and a 1,000-gallon bucket that fills and tips over every five minutes.

The Fun Zone also includes a 25-meter lap pool, two eight-person spas, a 12-person group spa, four large covered cabanas, one exterior lighted basketball court, two sand volleyball courts, four lighted tennis courts and a children's playground with activity structures.

The Rhodes Ranch Golf Club, designed by architect Ted Robinson, the par-72 course was named a best value by Vegas Golfer magazine.

Rhodes Ranch offers four new home collections with nearly a dozen floor plans. Prices start in the high $100,000s for both single- and two-story homes.

Among the collections is The Greens, with three two-story plans. Residence 1534 at The Greens includes an upstairs laundry room and the option for a balcony or covered rear patio. Residence 1734 includes a loft or fourth bedroom, formal entry and option for a covered porch. The Greens' largest plan, Residence 1841, includes loft, kitchen island, upstairs laundry room, master retreat and the option for a covered rear patio.

To visit Rhodes Ranch, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, to Durango Drive and drive south to Rhodes Ranch Parkway. Head west on Rhodes Ranch and follow the signs. The sales center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
