Rory launches polling place tool
October 11, 2010 - 9:58 am
The campaign for gubernatorial candidate Rory Reid has launched a Web page to help voters find early voting hours and polling places.
Reid, a Democrat, is trailing in statewide public opinion polls but has said he will use a superior campaign organization to turn out Democratic voters, who are a majority in Nevada.
The campaign tool allows voters to plug in an address and get a map of the closest early voting locations and hours of operation. The catch is the tool requires voters to include their phone number and e-mail address for it to work.
Although the online tool is paid for by Rory 2010, Reid's campaign, the top of the page lists other Democratic candidates as well -- including Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., father to Rory Reid.
Rory Reid, chairman of the Clark County Commission, is running behind Republican Brian Sandoval, a former federal judge and attorney general from Reno.
